A Few Grrrs

More rants? Feel free to add some in the comments section.

Georgia Govenor, Sonny Perdue, has threatened any legislation regarding Sunday retail alcohol sales. According the article, Georgia is only one of three remaining states in the nation that prohibit retail alcohol sales on Sundays. It's about time we move on.

Michael Vick in trouble with the law? No way!!!

Atlanta Braves trade firstbaseman Adam LaRoche to the Pirates. Personally, this was a bad move, but only time will tell.

Consumer information stolen from T.J. Maxx. Brilliant!

Last, but not least...

Mother seeks court option for ban of Harry Potter books. I'm not a fan of the books. As a parent, it is my job, not the government's, to look after what my child is reading.

On Sonny - his logic is weak, as is the justification for keeping most "blue" laws on the books. Time for this one to go the way fo the dodo.

On Vick - I agree with Jeff Shultz. Time to cut him loose.

On LaRoche - I'm mixed. Gonzalez is an outstanding pick up, and the shortstop prospect they got is no slouch. I wish the price wasn't so steep, though.

On Mrs. anti-Harry Potter - I don't understand her at all. I wonder if she has the same objections to C.S. Lewis or J.R. Tolkien.

I wonder what Mrs. anti-Harry Potter would think if she knew C.S. Lewis was a beer drinker.

Also, Mrs. M. did NOT like my reasoning with Sonny Perdue's decision. She believes in letting the public decide, not the statistics. Oh well.

Mike Gonzalez was a stud for Pittsburgh, but the same could be said of Kolb in Milwaukee. Even so, LaRoche is an iffy hitter, so I don't think it will matter on the field.
